As the non-existent summer gives way to shorter evenings it is worth spending some time now preparing for your those winter months ahead. Many of us who own horses find ourselves out early before or after work in the dark. If, like me, you have to cross or take your horse along the road from the stables to the field you may quite rightly be concerned about not being visible to oncoming cars.

It is worth considering therefore not only wearing high visibility clothing yourself, but also putting a horse rug on your horse that incorporates some high visibility material.
